Kayak Question?
My husband and I are buying kayaks on Saturday, I was ust wondering what are the laws for the kayak? I can not seem found online, it means that their arent any? Does it have to be registered as ships do? Im looking for someone who really knows, someone who really knows kayaks and shit. Im in Michigan, by the way, if that varies from state to state. Thank you!
In Michigan, privately owned non-motorized canoe, kayak, rowboat or the length of 16 feet or less need not be registered. Michigan's PFD law permits a vessel is under 16 feet long, or a canoe or kayak, to choose to be a PFD portable (type I, II or III) or Throwable PFD (Type IV) for each person on board.
